New York City seems to be closing out the month of January with some very exciting events. Read more to find out what's going on...
Outsider Art Fair - January 21-24, 2016
Starting out with this weekend is the Outsider Art Fair, where over 50 US galleries are representing a vast array of visionary artists whose work fits in the self-taught and folk art genre - a category that, by default, can often fall out of the eye of the cultural mainstream. Bringing forth vendors such as Alexander Gorlizki, Cavin-Morris Gallery, Shrine, Webb Gallery, and many others, is in fact broadening the dialogue of the contemporary art world and diversifying the audience with the future hopes of drawing in numerous international galleries.
Also this weekend is the opening of Energy Scaffolds and Information Architecture, a solo exhibition of drawings at The Drawing Center with a site-specific architectural installation by Louise Despont. Known for her intricate large-scale drawings on ledger paper, the pieces in the show are inspired from her relocation to Bali, detailing deeply meditative representations of the relationship between the material form and subtle body.
NY NOW Market – January 30 – February 3, 201
Lastly, but certainly not least, this month closes with NY NOW Market where more than 2,500 exhibitors are showcasing their goods in three categories: Lifestyle, Home, and Handmade. Zoe Bios Creative will indeed have a booth showcasing our latest work as well as our classics. Come, be inspired, stop by our booth #2640, and say hello!
