Capping out at approximately 75,000 attendees and representing over 600 galleries, Art Basel Miami Beach opened to the public on the evening of December 3rd. It was also the inaugural night for the show’s film series where, before each screening, sound works by artists such as Stephen Vitiello are being brought to the forefront and presented to a larger audience. Among many of the films showing will also be the much-anticipated premiere of Tim Burton’s biopic on Margaret Keane, titled Big Eyes. In the midst of this mass convergence of artists, curators, events, and galleries there seem to be many hidden gems once found. Here are images of some favorites from afar.
Art Basel Miami Beach continues through Sunday, December 7th.
